Stephen was born when we lived in Ely, NV. At his nine month checkup there was concern. We were referred to a pediatric neurologist in Salt Lake City. We were told that his development was arrested at about nine months and that was the end of his development. It was recommended that we institutionalize him. Later, we were told that he would not live past the age of 21. He was 25 when he died of sepsis. 

Brian was born at Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City where we both were born. As a child Brian participated in baseball and soccer. He later took up basketball. He went to Montessori in Wayne, New Jersey and Salt Lake City. Then it was elementary school in Salt lake County, middle school in El Cerrito, CA, and high school in Yuba City, CA. His career has been mostly in hospitality. He is happily married with two children in Sacramento.
