We moved to Berkeley in 1990. Craig attended seminary there. During those three years, we visited Berkeley (of course), Oakland, San Francisco, Point Reyes NRA, Redwoods NP and surrounding state parks, Napa wineries, and surrounding bay area communities. We haven't found photos of that time.
In 1993, we moved to Yuba City. While there, Brian and we hosted German exchange students, which included trips to San Francisco. We took Craig's mom, Louise, to Lassen Volcanic NP. Our vacations were typically to Park City with a few trips to Big Bear in southern California. St. Timothy's treated us to a time at Lake Tahoe. Brian graduated high school at Yuba City. We are looking for photos of that time.
Our final move was to Placerville in 1999. Placerville is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills and is in an oak and pine forest. Smart phones came about and taking and storing photos was much easier. The SLR camera was slowly phased out by 2020. Most of the photos on the web site and below are after 1999. We finished retiring in 2017. That made travel better time-wise, but more challenging money-wise.

We traveled to Yosemite twice, so far. The traffic is hard to deal with.

We have a timeshare at Incline Village, Nevada. South Lake Tahoe is in our home county, El Dorado.

We visited the aquarium twice.

In 2007, we visited Mono County and these places in that county: June Lake, Mono Lake, and Bodie State Park. In addition, we went to Yosemite, Mammoth, and Death Valley.

Bodie is a mining ghost town, preserved by state parks. Bodie was a sprawling town in 1877 with gold mining. After decline and a few fires, only a small part of the town remains.
